I have been riding a 99 Intruder 1500 for some years now. It has been a great bike but like anything, it has its faults. The brakes are a bit lacking and will tend to chatter some. The gas mileage is not good as it could be, but it is carbureted so what can you expect. I just wish the gas tank could have been a little bigger.
It is a comfortable ride and just enough size to not feel ever bump in the road and not pushed around by the wind. It is great for short to medium trips but not the best ride for long trips.
All in all, I love my Intruder and don't plan to ever sell it.
