1986 intruder 700 lost spark

Hi I'm new to all this but here it goes. I have a 1986 suzuki intruder 700. It's a bit of a running project but I went out to get fired up for the first time this year and put new gas in did a couple other checks and hit the switch. No surprise it didn't take right off. No big deal though... or so I thought. It did try to fire a couple times so I figured I'd throw a new set of plugs in. Did that and now absolutely no spark even with putting the old plugs back in. Don't know what would cause that. Please help. Also I am simple so simple answers would be appreciated.

First, clean your battery terminals and the other end of the battery ground wire. Does the engine turn over? The spark plug leads go to the coils. Do you have power to the coils?
This will help. https://data2.manualslib.com/pdf4/83/8241/824096-suzuki/vz800.pdf?e2fc0f...
