Total engine and electrial shutdown while at 80 mph.. What would cause the shutdown?

First, check the main ground then check the main fuse. If it blows, the electrical s quit. If it is blown, check the other fuses. If aren't any visible bad ones pull them all (remembering which goes where). Change the main and turn the switch on and see if the main blows. If not add another fuse and repeat until you find the bad circuit. If you find the bad circuit, you'll need a wiring diagram to trouble shoot the problem. Sight and smell are your first checks. Then a multimeter will help to troubleshoot further.
