2018 Labour Day Weekend Ride - Alexandra VIC (Australia)

Hi everyone, I've listed this under "Events" also, but here it is for all to read:

You're invited to join us for a 2018 Labour Day long weekend bike run, in Alexandra VIC. (Australia)

While not officially a CCC run, it would be great to get as many of the CCC members attending this ride as a last hurrah to the Cruiser Customizing name, which is no longer operating. Whether you're on the CCC site anymore or not, wouldn't it be awesome to get as many of the old school and new school crew along for a fun weekend? This ride isn't exclusive to only CCC members, so please if you have some like-minded friends who love all types of motorcycles, who you think would enjoy a fun and easy going weekend in some of Victoria's beautiful countryside, then invite them along too.

What you need to know:

2018 Dates: Friday 9, Sat 10, Sun 11 March (3 nights).

Location: Alexandra VIC. It's a good central location where Adam grew up. He knows the area well, and there's lots of nice rides out there (shorter & longer), with things for us to see and do. Think "We are going to Bonnie Doon", "How's the serenity", Marysville, waterfalls, etc.

Cost: Room rates are between $110 - $135 p/night, with Single, Queen or Twin rooms.

Motel: Alexandra Motel & Motor Inn, 76 Downey St, Alexandra VIC 3714. Facilities include pool & BBQ area (with cover). Website: (There are limited rooms, recommend you get in quick.) If we book out this motel, alternative accommodation will be advised.

Book: To book, please call: (03) 5772 2077. Our hosts are Brad & Rosemary. We've spoken with Brad and he's happy to hold the motel rooms until end of this month (June) for us to make our bookings. So please book prior to 30th June to secure your spot! (EDIT: Brad is really happy with how many of us have booked so far and so they're happy to hold the remaining rooms for our group. Let's fill it up!!) When booking please tell them you're booking as part of the motorcycle group for the Labour Day long weekend (or tell them Adam and Dim sent you!)

Any queries please let us know. You can email us: [email protected].

Dim & Adam

Thanks Dim ... I'm pretty certain I'll be able to make it. Subject to weather conditions, going over the Victorian high country to get to Alexandra looks like the most scenic route from Canberra. Would probably make for a most enjoyable ride for the NSW crew as well ... via Canberra.!!

Thanks Dim, Vardy has spread the word down these parts. I expect to be attending and look forward to meeting up with you guys.

Extract digits from rectums, remove cranium from the silica ... and start making plans to attend ... you've been given plenty of notice ! We will be lucky if this Forum survives until March 2018 so this rally may be the last that brings us together in any sort of numbers and the various splinter groups go their separate ways. Remember how great Mildura, Canberra and Mt Gambier were ... well, this one will be just as good. The riding around Alexandra will be amazing!

If any if our overseas brothers and sisters would like to join in ... COME ON DOWN!

Yes what Vardy said!! Let's get lots of old and new faces, from near and far, together for a great few days fun!

Awesome Vardy (btw my auto-correct calls you "baddy") and Dubster, looking forward to seeing you there Smiley-laughing

If you haven't booked a room yet don't forget to do so, we have half the motel booked already!

Also for those on Facebook, let me know and I'll add you to the event: 2018 Labour Day Weekend bike run. I just posted a video there showing some of the lovely riding country around Alexandra.

Dim ... in our rush before leaving I didn't book a room. We won't be back until 17 July. Could you please book a single room for me. Thanks P

Peter, consider it done! Safe travels.

It's shaping up to be a top weekend! As of right now only 4 rooms left at the Alexandra Motel & Motor Inn. You still have time to book!

I really would if I could and meet with you all, Australian friends... That damned distance!!! Wish you all a great weekend and ride!
