Has Anyone Tried to Buy Parts from the New Site?

I tried to search for parts / accessories for my Valkyrie from the new site(s). (Yes, both Cheap Cycle and Competition Accessories). To my utter disappointment, NEITHER site allows me to search by motorcycle. Actually, you CAN search Cheap Cycle Parts..... Unless you have a Valkyrie of the vintage I do. Here's an unhelpful e-mail train that ensued when I asked about searching the Competition site:

We do not sale aftermarket parts on Competition accessories. If you need parts we only sale OEM parts (Cheap Cycle Parts) that come from the Manufacturer when you order and then shipped to our warehouse within 3-5 business days.

I realize that, but HOW do I find parts and accessories to fit MY bike? On Cruiser Customizing, I could search the online inventory by specifying what bike I am shopping for.
Do I have to search every page of your site?
Sometimes riders are just looking to see what they might be able to add to personalize their bikes, and won't know that they WANT something until they see it. If they don't see it, they won't buy it.

Sorry for the inconvenience however Competition Accessories DOES sell aftermarket parts, thats what we specialize in. If you are looking for something specific, just type that into the search bar at the top and it will bring up everything to do with that part. Then read the description for what bike it fits. If you are looking for something, we can definitely help you out if you give us a call, we can pretty much get anything you could want or need. We sell aftermarket parts and OEM parts so give us a call and let us know what you are interested in and we will do our best to help you out. Have a nice day. Thanks, Sean

Sounds a very large bit convoluted to me!!!!!!!

We can't buy, because they don't send it to Europe... So there is no need for me to watch what they sell...

Don't bother anyway. They sell nothing but "fits all" parts anyway. My Stryker is a 2014 and they don't have anything bike specific for it. I emailed them and got no response.

With the $ exchange rate and the cost of shipping, I see no point in even looking.

I can understand your frustration, Len.
I haven't made a purchase from Cruiser Customizing in years. They're just too expensive. There's nothing they sell that can't be bought for less elsewhere, and usually shipping is free everywhere else. I have all my bike stuff sent to the border & then drive or ride down to pick it up.

There's so much potential here for a sponsor. It is too bad that a sponsor who could benefit from us isn't in the picture. I have on several occasions tried to buy from CC but they have no inventory or just discontinued written ac-crossed the product for my bike. And yes there not competitive. Competition Accessories or cheap cycle make no claims as sponsors so there's no reason to buy anything from them. I sure hope Motor-tribe finds a sponsor to keep this site going. There's value in this website, it is you guys. This site would be worthless if no one used it. I hope someone can see that and we find a sponsor before they shut it down. Once shut down, it will lose the potential value and will be of no value to anyone.

I've "moved on" .... but ...

... I JUST DON'T GET Competition Accessories' "strategy" ... assuming they have one. It just doesn't make sense !

Us Aussies can't but I've used Riders Discount.Com and they have free shipping to Australia if spending over $400.

there are alternatives when a company doesn't' ship overseas. You can buy a freight forwarding address. It is often cheaper than the freight costs from the original supplier. I use one regularly from England.

... to add to Phil's post ...for Aussie customers ...

Australia Post now offers this freight trans-shipment facility as well. They have a US based depot to which parcels are sent and then Aus Post trans-ships to your Australian address.

Just wondering what Australia Post charges will be.

Their website has all the details ... can't remember off the top of my head .

Try Fortnine Len. Canadian site with free shipping. With the shipping and exchange I feel it is same price if not a bit cheaper. Good selection also.

Good call Larry.
I dealt with them when they were the MotorcycleSuperStore.
It's great having a tire (or whatever) at your door in 3 days

Thanks Randy. And like I said if you compare prices, it isn't that bad..

Thanks Larry. I have actually dealt with them in the past, and have been VERY happy with prices and service. I got tire pricing from them last year, and also got prices from my Honda dealer. The dealer was quite a bit higher, but matched fortnine's pricing when I showed them the quote. I still like to look at various sites to see what might be available for my bike. Cruiser Customizing was great for that. The two new sites? Not so much....

Len....do you NEED more stuff for your Valk? Or do you just want more stuff? Lol

Good question Al...... Wish I knew the answer!

I think I have all I want/need but still keep looking......

Tht's because you have OCD. You buy it anyway.

That should be CDO.....
