I have a 2007 Yamaha V Star XVS1100 the battery Will not charge

I have a 2007 Yamaha V Star XVS1100 THE BIKE WILL NOT HOLD A CHARGE I HAVE BOUGHT A NEW BATTERY I HAVE BOUGHT A NEW STATOR AND REPLACED IT THE BATTERY WAS STILL JUST DRAINED I NEED TO KNOW WHAT I NEED TO CHANGE THE NEXT I AM NOT MECHANICALLY INCLINED BUT THANKS TO YOUTUBE I CHANGE THE STATOR ANY ASSISTANCE TIPS GREATLY APPRECIATED

This is the first motorcycle I've ever owned this the first motorcycle I've ever riden, so I feel like it's in my blood now I need too Ride.

Then, buy a VOM (Volt Ohm Meter). You can pick one up cheap at Harbor Freight. Find the section in the manual on the charging system. Make sure your chassis ground is clean!. You may have a parasitic drain.

Clean all the ground connections not just the battery. Next take one fuze out at a time and then check for a draw. The easy way is to disconnect the neg cable from the battery, put the POS test lead on the neg battery post then the neg test lead on the neg battery cable. Then start pulling fuses only one at a time. Do all this with the Key in the off position. If you don't find any draw or voltage on your meter. then you will have to start disconnecting wires at starter. The the relay assy and down the line. You may have a bad regulator / rectifier assy. Check that ground also.
