rear cylinder running hot 2002 yamaha v-star 1100

as i posted before it feels like my rear cylinder is running hot back fire on deceleration  took plugs to dealer .they said they look good .some say plug the ais ? whats the ais what is it for ? it has stock pipes maybe modified some how .can it be the carbs are not in sinc?? help help ???

Check both your intake and exhaust manifold gaskets for leaks.
Have the pipes been changed? What makes you think they have been modified?
Post a pic if you can of the mod.
