Hike up Bear Butte

We decided to try to keep away from Sturgis during the day, because it was total gridlock, so after breakfast at Belle Fourche one morning, we visited Bear Butte. This is a state park that is within sight of Sturgis, but I don't think it gets a lot of visitors. It's well worth the time to go, however. Richard, Steven and Larry on the way up the butte. (no, we didn't make it all the way to the top............ not in motorcycle boots and riding gear - but we did get about halfway)

Great looking place to visit.

What riding gear? Oh yeah, about only 10% bothered with it. I was 1 of 3 people who had a yellow helmet. I probably saw 20-30000 bikers during my travel.
Will have to go back again maybe next fall after all the crowds are gone.
