reflection

I had been on my bike for two and a half days travelling from medical scans in Melbourne to Longreach in Central Outback Queensland (1500 miles) and was only two hours from home when i chanced upon this lookout not far from a little outpost called Jundah. I had transversed a lot of the great country I live in spending many solitary hours considering the next steps in my ongoing battle against the big C, and just stopped looking over vast plains of scrub reflecting on the many things that i am fortunate enough to be able to do, have done and will do in my life.

Hello from France.

In any illness, small, or large, getting up in the morning and looking ou on a town and buidings, noise and hustle and bustle does not help, BUT when you can look at a scene like this and live in a place where you are near to nature and its sounds and odours, sometimes, yes sometimes that pain of bad health dont seem so big!

Keep the grey coming long and slow

Happy New Year 2010

Great shot man!

Actually, I was so impressed with this photo, I've added it to my favorites yesterday!  Sssssh!  Don't tell anyone!  LOL!  Great photo!  Cool

Thanks for bringing it back into circulation Dim. Have been thinking of Chris lately. Guess it's just MT Gambier coming up, seeing "The Enterprise" at the AGM etc.

hi all, its outbackaussie Chris's partner Glennis outbackaussgirl, just wanna say thanks for all the support u guys gave Chris over his last 2yrs or so. Outback aussie just loved to meet up and ride with you guys, he especially got a lot of joy out of this site. Thanks to Dim and Blair for helping me with the photo's, Reflection confirms a lot for me of what Chris I felt about his journey with the big C. Just a tip, take many photos, as many as possible of yrself and each other, they become such wonderful memories! also talk and talk and talk so there's no regret's & missed opportunities. fond regards, from outbackaussgirl Smiley-laughing

big huggs for you Dim

G'day buddy.

Hey Chris, just letting you know that your name is still spoken.

Thank you for this photo it feels special.

Still thinking of you my friend............BEAUTIFUL pic !

when you see a picture of a friend ,someone who stood out as an outstanding member not only to this community but the community in which he lived you feel just how big a loss too as all it was when Chris pasted away .
He rode his bike till the end .

Well said Mark....be safe my friend !

Yes Mark. Totally agree. I remember the last time I saw him. Chris and Blair stayed at our place. They arrived soaking wet even though the "Enterprise" had a screen etc. Rode south with them. Seems like yesterday.

thats what I thinking about when I wrote the post Al .
